Eco Wrap™, Patent Pending Biodegradable & Compostable Tensioning Film

Eco Wrap™ is a unique combination of a certified compostable polyester film and a biodegradable cling coating. Eco Wrap™ is designed to run on existing stretch film equipment by simply adjusting the tension setting. Due to the strength and biodegradability of Eco Wrap™, customers can save money in three different ways. First, Eco Wrap™ at 1.0 mil (25 micron) can replace 1.6 mil (40 micron) palletizing film in most cases thus reducing the amount of product needed. Second, most applications requiring three wraps of standard film can use two wraps without sacrificing strength or protection. Third, Eco Wrap™ is certified compostable therefore avoiding tariffs, fines and tip fees in areas where polyethylene is prohibited or restricted.

Eco Wrap™ is more than a stretch film alternative, it can also be used for masking applications, mechanical protection and corrosion protection. Eco Wrap™ uses controlled adhesion to stick firmly to smooth surfaces, and leaves no residue upon removal. Once Eco Wrap™ is discarded (ideally Eco Wrap™ is sent to a compost processor), it biodegrades entirely into carbon dioxide and water with no harmful residual. The same microorganisms that breakdown yard waste, food and other organics, ingest Eco Wrap™ and release carbon dioxide and water. Under standard compost conditions, Eco Wrap™ will visually change within 1-2 weeks of composting and completely biodegrade within a couple months.
